All but one of the key's beaches are off-limits to the general public. Access to the beach is limited to those who live or stay at the resorts that dot the coastline.

Guests of Casa Del Mar have their very own private beach entrance. Its prime beachfront location has many accommodations, including panoramic ocean views. Thanks to our on-site pool, you can quickly transition from our climate-controlled facility to the beach.

There are 12 public access points on Longboat Key, so you may easily reach the island's beaches even if you aren't staying with us. The majority of them are clustered around the Gulf of Mexico Highway. 100 Broadway Street, 7055 Seabreeze Avenue, and 100 North Shore Road are the three in other areas.

In addition to a few local conveniences, there are nearby dining options. On the other hand, these beaches are open to the public and do not have a lifeguard on duty. There are no restrooms or lockers available, so come prepared.

Public beaches are no place for pets or booze. Bonfires, overnight camping, and other special events are also banned (without prior approval from the city).

No golfing is allowed on any public beaches. But, if you're a golfer, the key is home to several courses.
